Types of Grants
R4 Foundation makes grants to charitable organizations operating within our strategic missions. For now, we believe our limited resources are best spent as investments within Fort Worth. We prefer to make grants to entities working at the origins of relevant issues to prevent negative outcomes down-stream.
Who May Apply
Grant applications may be accessed only by invitation of R4 Foundation to tax-exempt organizations described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We do not grant funds to individuals.
When to Apply for a 2026 Grant
Upon invitation from R4 each January, invitees will receive an access code for entrance into the grant portal linked below. Applications are available to invitees during a six-month period each year, typically from February through July. R4’s Board of Directors will consider completed grant applications during each of three meetings in February, May, and August.
How to Apply
Once your organization has received an email invitation with an access code in January, please enter the Online Application Portal to apply within the specified period.
Repeat Applicants
If your organization is invited to apply again in a new grant cycle, an access code will be included in a January email to your designated primary contact. However, your organization may not apply again until the Outcomes Report from any previous grant cycle has been submitted within the Online Application Portal.
